Are you ready for our 3rd Annual Food Fight! The trophy has been proudly displayed for the last year and we want to make sure it stays at DKIES! Please send in your items November 1-22nd.

Reminder: Parent-teacher conferences begin next week and run from 10/21-10/25.

During our conference week, school will end at 12:45 pm on those days. Please make arrangements for your child's early release from school.

The first conference block will begin at 1:00 pm. Conferences will be 15 minutes in length.

Here are some reminders:

1. Happy Fall Break! Fall Break is from Monday, October 7 - Friday, October 11

2. Planning and Collaboration Day October 14: No school for students on Monday, October 14. It is a planning and collaboration day for teachers.

3. Back to School: Students return to school on Tuesday, October 15.

Unity Day is October 16, 2024. Let's wear and share orange Every Wednesday throughout the month of October to send a message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Our Fall Parent-Teacher Conference Week is scheduled for October 21-25, 2024.

At this conference, your child's teacher will share your child's report card, discuss their strengths and areas of challenge, and share strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

We look forward to seeing you virtually on Webex or in person!

School spirit wear will be available for purchase at our school event - Eat, Play Build on Friday, September 27. All purchases are cash only.
